Post-Mortem: The Experiment

Dungeon.ai was born from a simple question: Can an LLM replace a scripted branching narrative? During our three-month closed beta, we proved that the answer is a resounding "Yes," but with significant caveats regarding cost and pacing.

While Mistral models provided exceptional creative writing, the token consumption for high-context gaming exceeded our sustainable monetization models for a standalone mobile app.

Reason for Archive

Development was halted to pivot resources toward the Cypress Signal infrastructure platform. The learnings from Dungeon.ai directly informed our current "Signal Streaming" protocol.

The project remains a testament to what we call "The Bioluminescent Grid"—the intersection of cold code and organic storytelling.
